We created this website as a resource for people that want help with ideas and tips on how to recycle or reduce waste. We understand it can be hard to get to zero waste or zero to landfill, but we also think that every little bit helps, and small improvements will add up to great ones. We want to raise awareness of different waste reduction techniques so that you can find ones that work for you, and maybe make you think about waste in a way that you didn’t before. Not only do we raise awareness of waste and ways to reduce your waste, but we also help connect you with service providers that offer services in recycling, waste management and other types of waste reduction, so you can improve your personal or business waste output. Simple things that we aren’t aware of, such as paper coffee cups provided by places like Costa and Starbucks, did you know they aren’t widely recyclable? In most cities in the UK, if you throw your cup in the recycling, it will still end up in a landfill – there are only 3 recycling centres in the UK capable of recycling coffee cups. Now that you know a paper coffee cup can’t be recycled, maybe you’ll choose to drink in with a china cup? That’s all we want to do, raise awareness and let people make informed decisions that can improve our lives for years to come.
